Visitor Guidance
Accessibility
The site is step-free and reasonably level with gravel paths between aviaries, enclosures and buildings.
Dogs
As a zoo-licensed property, we cannot allow dogs or other pets on site except for assistance dogs by prior arrangement.
Smoking/Vaping
The Sanctuary is a smoke-free zone in the interests of the health of our animals. Smoking/vaping is only allowed in the main car park.
Picnics
Visitors are welcome to bring their own picnics. We have a covered picnic area by the playground and picnic tables around the site.
Litter
Discarded litter can be an issue for our animals. We encourage recycling on site and politely request that you dispose of all waste appropriately in the bins provided.
Avian Influenza (Bird Flu)
To ensure the safety of our resident owls & other birds, there is a walk-through disinfectant footbath at the entrance to the Sanctuary.
